For those unversed, both 'Tekka' and 'Bohurupi' had their grand theatrical releases on 8th October 2024. While both the small-budget films managed to impress the audience over its gripping storyline and managed to beat big Bollywood releases - Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' and Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' (VVKWWV), here's which Bengali actor won the clash in the 2nd weekend.

Bohurupi Box Office Collection 2nd Weekend

Inspired by true events, Bohurupi - directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee - boasts a dynamic ensemble including popular names like Abir Chatterjee, Shiboprasad, Ritabhari Chakrabarty and Koushani Mukherjee.

Mounted on a budget of Rs 4 cr, the chase drama opened to rave reviews from the fans and critics alike. As per Sacnilk, the film had earned around Rs 4.26 cr (nett) in its 1st week. Throughout the weekdays, Bohurupi managed to maintain its strong hold at the box office and saw a solid growth on 2nd Sunday. According to Sacnilk, the movie raked recorded its highest single-day collection yesterday and collected Rs 1.16 cr, taking the total nett collection to Rs 7.65 cr in 13 days.

Headlined by actor-turned-politician Dev, Tekka also stars Rukmini Maitra, 'Qala' actress Swastika Mukherjee and 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' fame Tota Roy Chowdhury among others in pivotal roles. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the vigilante action-thriller opened to mostly positive reviews from the audience.

According to a Sacnilk report, the movie earned around Rs 2.24 cr in its 1st week of theatrical run. Despite drops, the film saw a noticeable grwoth in numbers on 2nd Sunday and minted around 17 lakhs, taking the total nett collection to Rs 3.22 cr in 13 days.
