Jigra Box Office Collection Day 10: Alia Bhatt's latest release 'Jigra' has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. Even before the film released in cinemas, the prison-break thriller drama got embroiled in allegations of plagiarism. Actress-director-producer Divya Khossla accused that Jigra resembled the plot-line of her film 'Savi'. From fake box office collections to favouritism, multiple accusations have been labelled against the Vasan Bala directorial.

Featuring Alia Bhatt as 'Satya' and The Archies fame Vedang Raina as her brother Ankur, Jigra tells the heart-wrenching story of a sister who goes at great lengths just to save her brother. Jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Studios, the film had its grand theatrical release on 11th October 2024. Despite the positive buzz, the film failed to leave a mark at the box office.

Alia-Vedang's Jigra opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike and rake in Rs 4.5 cr (Hindi) on the day of its release. The film saw a noticeable growth on day 2 but saw sharp drop in numbers during the week days. The film collected Rs 22.24 cr in Hindi in its 1st week in theatres.

According to Sacnilk, Jigra saw a slight jump yesterday (day 10) and managed to mint approximately Rs 2 cr on Sunday, taking the total estimated collection to Rs 27.09 cr in 10 days.

For those unversed, Alia Bhatt's Jigra clashed with Rajkummar Rao & Triptii Dimri-starrer 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' (VVKWWV) at the box office. While both the films are struggling to pull audiences to cinemas, Jigra is lagging behind VVKWWV. Despite the growth, Alia's film failed to beat Rajkummar-Triptii starrer in the 2nd weekend.

As per Sacnilk, VVKWWV earned around Rs 2.60 cr on 2nd Sunday and the 10-day collection of the film is estimated to be around Rs 33.25 cr.
