Jigra Box Office Collection Prediction Day 16: Alia Bhatt's latest outing 'Jigra' seems to be a box office disaster. Directed by Vasan Bala, produced by Karan Johar (Dharma Productions), Alia (Eternal Sunshine Productions) and Viacom18 Studios, Jigra is a jail-break story that features Bhatt as 'Satya' and Vedang Raina ('The Archies' fame) as her younger sibling 'Ankur'. Amid positive anticipation, the movie had its theatrical release on 11th October, clashing with Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' (VVKWWV) at the box office.

Despite positive buzz and Alia's star power, Jigra has been struggling to pull audiences to theatres. Even before the release, the movie got entangled in controversies over allegations of plagiarism, favouritism and fake box office collection.

Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, the jail-break thriller-drama 'Jigra' opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film had an underwhelming box office opening and managed to rake in approximately Rs 4.5 cr on day 1. The film did witnesses a noticeable growth on day 2 but failed to maintain upward trend. The movie ended its first of theatrical journey with Rs 22.24 cr and earned around Rs 6.85 cr in week 2.

According to the Sacnilk report, Jigra numbers dropped further below on 3rd Friday and managed to mint approximately Rs 39 lakhs only, taking the estimated nett collection to Rs 29.48 cr in 15 days.

Alai Bhatt-starrer Jigra has been struggling to even cross the Rs 30-cr mark at the box office. Given the current buzz, the film might see a slight slight today (3rd Saturday) and is expected to earn somewhere between Rs 30-50 lakhs on day 16 (3rd Saturday). To note, the movie need to earn approximately Rs 52 lakhs today to hit the 30-cr mark. Jigra is likely to touch Rs 30 cr at the box office either today or tomorrow.
