Khadaan Vs Shontaan (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 8: The Bengali film industry is set to end this year on a solid note with an array of movie releases of varied genres. From Dev's 'Khadaan' to Subhashree Ganguly starrer 'Shontaan' and Tota Roy Chowdhury-Shantanu Maheshwari's 'Chaalchitro'; all the three films hit cinemas on the same day (December 20) and managed to impress the audience during this festive season. While all the three films have been running successfully on big screens, it's Dev's Khadaan that has been ruling the clash since day 1.
Amid the big clash, it's the Dev vs Subhashree angle with Khadaan vs Shontaan that has been the attention mostly.
Khadaan Box Office Collection Day 8
Directed by Soojit Dutta, Khadaan marks actor-turned-politician Dev's return to the massy genre after several years. Co-starring Jisshu Sengupta, John Bhattacharya, Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul and Anirban Chakrabarty, the Bengali-language action-thriller drama has had a massive start at the box office in Bengal with an opening day collection of Rs 68 lakhs. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the film went on to rake in Rs 5.59 cr in its 1st week, as per Sacnilk.
Yesterday, according to Sacnilk, Khadaan saw a slight dip in numbers and scored around Rs 44 lakhs on 2nd Friday, maintaining a strong hold at the box office. The total 8-day nett collection is reported to be at Rs 6.05 cr in Bengal.

Shontaan Box Office Collection Day 8
This emotional family-drama, directed by Raj Chakrabarty, opened to positive reviews from fans and critics alike. However, the film is yet to take the box office by storm. Starring Subhashree, Ritwick Chakraborty, Mithun Chakraborty, Anashua Majumdar, Sohini Sengupta, and Kharaj Mukherjee, Shontaan kickstarted its theatrical journey on a decent note, followed by a collection of Rs 1.43 cr in 1st week.
According to Sacnilk, the movie collected Rs 13 lakhs on 2nd Friday, taking the total nett collection to Rs 1.56 cr in 8 days.
