Mufasa: The Lion King Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: After a long wait for nearly 5 years, Disney treated its fans with yet another Lion King film titled 'Mufasa: The Lion King'. Amid high anticipation, the American epic musical-adventure film, Mufasa: The Lion King, finally hit cinemas worldwide today (December 20). The excitement among Indian fans was through the roof as the dubbed versions of the film released in the voices of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Bollywood 'Badshah' Shah Rukh Khan. While the Disney animated film enjoys its opening day in cinemas, let's take a look at its potential performance at the Indian ticket counters.

Mufasa: The Lion King Voice Cast (India), Plot

Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King serves as both sequel and prequel to the much-loved 2019 film 'The Lion King'. In the Hindi version of Mufasa: The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice for Mufasa, while Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan dubbed for Simba and younger Mufasa respectively. Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra and Meiyang Chang featured as the voices of Timon, Pumbaa and Taka respectively. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu dubbed for the Telugu version of Mufasa, while Arjun Das lent his voice for the Tamil Mufasa.

Mufasa: The Lion King chronicles the origin of Mufasa and his rise to become the 'Lion King'. The story also shows how he meets a kind and sympathetic lion cub and gets adopted by his royal family.

Mufasa: The Lion King Box Office Collection Prediction

Amid high anticipation, Mufasa: The Lion King opened to mixed reviews from the critics. However, the advance booking report for the opening day looked impressive. According to a tweet by trade analyst Sumit Kadel, Mufasa: The Lion King is expected to open to a whopping nett collection of somewhere between Rs 10-12 cr in India amid the Pushpa 2 craze.

Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, released on 5th December 2024, grossed around Rs 990.7 cr (nett) in India in 15 days. The Telugu entertainer is expected to cross the Rs 1000 cr-mark in India in the 3rd weekend.
