Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Rajkummar’s Film Crosses 400Cr Despite A Dip Of 50% On 2nd Monday

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 has emerged as one of the biggest releases of the year and there are no second thoughts about it. The horror comedy, which Amar Kaushik has directed, opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics and had been ruling the box office ever since. Also starring Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead, Stree 2 started the box office journey with a phenomenal start of Rs 60.3 crores (including paid reviews).

As Stree 2 has been the much awaited sequel of the 2018 release Stree, it has managed to create a massive buzz and it is getting encashed at the box office. After witnessing a thunderous opening weekend, while Stree 2 did witness a continuous drop in numbers, the second weekend came as a sigh of relief. Amar Kaushik directorial saw a massive jump in numbers during the second weekend and recorded the highest second Sunday collection of all times after beating Sunny Deol's blockbuster hit Gadar 2 along with registering the highest day 11 collection.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Stree 2 raked in Rs 42.4 crores on day 11 (second Sunday). However, the second Monday came with a massive drop in numbers as Stree 2 saw a dip of around 59%. However, the movie managed to enter the prestigious Rs 400 crores club. To note, Stree 2 had minted Rs 17 crores on day 12 (second Monday)

Is Stree 3 On Cards?

Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee has spilled beans about the third installment of Stree series and told Indian Express, "It will take time. Now that Stree 2 has become such a big hit, I know that it won't take six years to make it, like we did with Stree 2. That's for sure. Some parts of the script are already written. It is going to be a big epic saga and as an actor I am dying to be back on that set".
