Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 19: Rajkummar’s Film Beats Jawan, Gadar 2 Despite Massive Dip On 3rd Monday

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 19: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's second collaboration Stree 2 has been all over the headlines for all the right reasons. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has been a horror comedy and it has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024. The movie also featured Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead along with Tamannaah Bhatia, Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar in a cameo. As Stree 2 opened to rave reviews, the movie saw a great start at the box office.

Stree 2 started the box office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 60.3 crores and it saw a phenomenal hike in numbers during the opening weekend. While Stree 2 witnessed an impressive hold at the box office during the first week, this Amar Kaushik directorial left everyone in awe with a stupendous growth in collections during the second weekend. Though the second week did come with a lot of struggle, the third weekend once again came as a sigh of relief.

However, after recording the highest third Sunday collection of all times, Stree 2 saw a massive drop in numbers on day 19 (third Monday). To note, Stree 2 had raked in Rs 22 crores on day 18 (third Sunday). According to a report published in Sacnilk, Stree 2 saw a drop of Rs 6.5 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 486.55 crores.

Stree 2 Beats Jawan, Gadar 2

While Stree 2 has been giving Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, Pathaan and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, it has now managed to beat Jawan and Gadar 2 once again. Yes! Stree 2 has recorded the third highest collections on day 19 after Pathaan and Baahubali 2. For the uninitiated Jawan raked in Rs 4.9 crores while Gadar 2 had minted Rs 5.1 crores on day 19 of release. Interestingly, Pathaan continues to top the list with a collection of Rs 12.6 crores followed by Baahubali 2 with an earning of Rs 6.95 crores.

Is Stree 3 On Cards?

Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee has spilled beans about the third installment of Stree series and told Indian Express, "It will take time. Now that Stree 2 has become such a big hit, I know that it won't take six years to make it, like we did with Stree 2. That's for sure. Some parts of the script are already written. It is going to be a big epic saga and as an actor I am dying to be back on that set".
