And now, Bebo has proved her versatility as a de-glammed detective named 'Jasmeet Kaur' in her latest release, 'The Buckingham Murders'. Amid decent buzz, the film hit cinemas today (September 13). As per the latest buzz, Bebo might have her lowest opening in the past 15 years with this crime-drama thriller.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, 'The Buckingham Murders' marks Kareena Kapoor Khan's debut as a producer. She has co-produced the film along with Ektaa R. Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. The film revolves around the story of a grieving British-Indian cop who lost her child to a murder and moved to a new city. She relives her trauma when she's tasked with the investigation of the disappearance of a missing child.

Headlined by Bebo, the film also stars Ranveer Brar, Keith Allen, Ash Tandon and Rukku Nahar among others. For those unversed, the film had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival last year.

Looks like, Kareena Kapoor Khan's 'The Buckingham Murders' is gonna witness a slow start at the box office. The film has kicked off its theatrical journey on an underwhelming note. According to the latest Sacnilk report, the crime-thriller has managed to earn Rs 60 lakhs only till 8:30 PM. As the report further suggests, the film had 4.56% occupancy in morning shows, 9.30% Hindi occupancy in afternoon shows and 10.90% in evening shows.

Film business expert and producer Girish Johar exclusively told us that the film might open to a box office collection of somewhere between Rs 1.5-2 cr.
