Aamar Boss (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 2: The blockbuster director duo, Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee are back with yet another summer release, 'Aamar Boss'. This time, their film is extra-special. Wondering why? Well, Aamar Boss marks veteran Indian actress Rakhee Gulzar's return to Bengali cinema after a long hiatus for almost 22 years. Amidst high anticipation, the Bengali-language family drama, from the same makers of 'Posto', 'Haami', 'Bohurupi', 'Raktabeej', 'Haami 2', 'Belasheshe', 'Kontho' and 'Belashuru', hit cinemas nationwide on May 9, 2025 (Friday).

Directed by Nandita Roy-Shiboprasad Mukherjee and bankrolled by their production banner Windows, Aamar Boss focuses on the mother-son relationship. Starring Rakhee Gulzar and Shiboprasad in the lead, the emotional family drama also boasts a dynamic ensemble including names like Srabanti Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Gourab Chatterjee, Shabitri Chatterjee, Kanchan Mullick, Shruti Das, Avery Sinha Roy, Aishwarya Sen and Uma Banerjee.
The film tells a heartwarming and hard-hitting tale about a man (Shiboprasad) juggling work and family until his mother's (Rakhee Gulzar) unexpected presence at the office quietly transforms the workplace. The official synopsis of the film reads, "'Aamar Boss' is a modern family drama explores a unique idea: an office-based old-age crèche started by the boss's mother. This innovative setup boosts employee productivity while creating a more caring, inclusive workplace."
According to The Top India report, the film has been made on an alleged budget of Rs 4 cr.

Rakhee Gulzar and Shiboprasad Mukherjee starrer Aamar Boss kickstarted its grand theatrical journey on a solid note. Amidst the strong pre-release buzz, the film netted around Rs 19.64 lakhs, as per a tweet by 'WBBO: West Bengal Box Office'. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the film recorded a 40.22% boost in numbers yesterday (first Saturday) and added Rs 27.54 lakhs, taking the total 2-day net numbers to Rs 47.18 lakhs.

According to the same WBBO: West Bengal Box Office Twitter page, Aamar Boss is likely to earn between Rs 80 - 90 lakhs on its first weekend.
Aamar Boss Vs Bohurupi Box Office (1st Sat)
Despite the impressive box office performance so far, Aamar Boss has failed to beat Bohurupi's first Saturday earnings. According to Sacnilk, Bohurupi, Shiboprasad-Nandita's last theatrical release before Aamar Boss, had collected around Rs 75 lakhs on its first Saturday.
For those unversed, the film was released on 8th October 2024 (Tuesday). To note, Bohurupi had added Rs 50 lakhs on its second day (Wednesday).
