According to a tweet shared by the 'WBBO: West Bengal Box Office' page, Aamar Boss recorded more than 50% drop on its first Monday (yesterday, May 12). Despite the dip, the film stood strong and added Rs 25.70 lakhs, taking the total net earning to Rs 1.28 cr (approx.) in 4 days.

For those unversed, the movie netted around Rs 19.64 lakhs on the day of its release, followed by a solid hike in the first weekend. On Saturday (day 2), the movie reportedly minted around Rs 27.54 lakhs and went on to earn Rs 54.66 lakhs on Sunday.

As per the same WBBO tweet post, Aaamr Boss has surpassed the total earnings of Sharmila Tagore-Rituparna Sengupta's 'Puratwan' and Aparna Sen-Anjan Dutta starrer 'Ei Raat Tomar Amaar'.

As of now, Aamar Boss has emerged as the 4th highest-grossing Bangla film of 2025.

The official synopsis of Shiboprosad Mukherjee-Rakhee Gulzar starrer read, "'Aamar Boss' is a modern family drama explores a unique idea: an office-based old-age crèche started by the boss's mother. This innovative setup boosts employee productivity while creating a more caring, inclusive workplace."

Talking about her return to Bangla cinema, Rakhee Gulzar stated, as reported by ABP News, "Aamar Boss is a story that touched my heart from the very first narration. I agreed to do this film only because I could strongly relate with the story. Today, we have lost touch with our culture, our roots, everything has become superficial. I come from a background where everyone was closely knitted, seeing today's generation where technology has taken over relationships worries me. Some relationships are so pure that they transcend age, time, and distance, that's what this film beautifully captures. (sic)"

During an interview with Money Control, Mukherjee revealed that Rakhee Gulzar did her own makeup for Aamar Boss and wore her saree in the film. "She said, 'You don't have to buy a costume for me... I will wear my own sarees. Just come and choose from my wardrobe,' (sic)" Shiboprosad recalled.
