Amid the Pushpa 2 rage and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani re-release craze, the Varun Dhawan-starrer is struggling to pull audiences to theatres. Directed by Kalees, the Hindi adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster 'Theri' hit cinemas worldwide on 25th December, coinciding with the Christmas holiday. Amid high buzz, the massy actioner opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

Despite having a solid start at the box office, the film witnessed dip in numbers in week days. After opening to a whopping collection of Rs 11.25 cr on day 1, VD's Baby John went on to collect Rs 36.25 cr in its 1st week.
According to Sacnilk, the film saw a slight growth on 2nd Saturday (yesterday, Jan 4) at the box office and raked in around Rs 80 lakhs. Now, the total 11-day nett collection is estimated to be at Rs 37.75 cr domestically. Reportedly, the movie had an overall 14.98% Hindi occupancy on Saturday (January 04, 2025).

Made on a staggering budget of Rs 160 cr reportedly, Baby John is struggling to meet budget expectations. Not just that, the movie is also struggling to cross the Rs 40 cr-mark at the box office in the 2nd weekend.
Given the current buzz, the film is unlikely to see a massive hike in numbers today. The film is expected to earn somewhere around Rs 1 cr today (2nd Sunday). If the prediction report turns out to be right, the film is likely to be unable the 40 cr-mark today as well. However, it might inch closer to the mark by the end of second weekend.
