Written and directed by Karan Sharma, the Hindi-language fantasy romantic-comedy, produced by Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios, opened to underwhelming reviews, failing to impress both the audience and critics. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, Bhool Chuk Maaf seems to be a snoozefest. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 50 cr allegedly, the film was originally scheduled to hit cinemas on May 9 but got postponed to May 16 for a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime due to the India-Pakistan tension.

Later, days after the PVR vs Maddock dispute, the makers finally released the film on big screens on May 23 (today).
