Binodiini - Ekti Natir Upakhyan (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 2: While the Khadaan fever is still going on in Bengal, superstar Dev treated fans with yet another Bengali film titled 'Binodiini - Ekti Natir Upakhyan'. Produced by Dev under his banner Dev Entertainment Ventures, the Bengali-language biographical drama stars Rukmini Maitra in the titular role. Directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, the Rukmini starrer is one of the highly-anticipated Bangla films of the year. Amid positive buzz, the movie had its grand theatrical release on 23rd January 2025 (Thursday), coinciding with the holiday of Subhash Jayanti in Bengal. The film clashed with Srijit Mukherji's 'Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei'.

Featuring Rukmini Maitra in the titular role as 'Binodini Dasi', a renowned theatre artist in West Bengal, Binodiini - Ekti Natir Upakhyan marks the directorial debut of Ram Kamal Mukherjee. Amid strong buzz, the movie opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. As per Sacnilk, the Bengali film kickstarted its theatrical journey on a decent note and raked in around Rs 7 lakhs on the day of its release.

According to the latest Sacnilk report, Rukmini's Binodiini recorded dip in numbers on Friday (yesterday) and managed to add around Rs 4 lakhs only. Now, the 2-day total nett collection is estimated to be at Rs 11 lakhs across Bengal.

Despite positive buzz, Rukmini Maitra's Binodiini has failed to even collect 50% of the opening day numbers of Dev's Khadaan in 2 days. As per Sacnilk updates, Khadaan scored Rs 68 lakhs on day 1.

Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 4.5 cr approximately, Binodiini Ekti Natir Upakhyan boasts a power-packed suppporting cast including names like Kaushik Ganguly, Mir Afsar Ali, Om Sahani and Chandan Roy Sanyal among others. The film chronicles the life of the renowned theatre artist Binodini's journey from a courtesan to the queen of Bengali theatre, breaking societal norms and conventions.
