Emergency Occupancy Report Day 4: Kangana Ranaut's highly-anticipated film 'Emergency' is trending big time all across the country. Directed, co-produced and written by Kangana herself, the film features the National Award-winning actress as India's former Prime Minster Indira Gandhi. Based on the dark chapter of Indian emergency period from 1975 to 1977, the Hindi-language biographical political drama opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. The film released in cinemas on 17th January 2025.

Emergency Box Office Collection First Weekend

After overcoming multiple obstacles, Kangana Ranaut-led Emergency has managed to leave the cinegoers impressed, matching up to the expectation. Amid positive buzz, the movie opened to Rs 2.5 cr, followed by a noticeable hike in numbers in the weekend. Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the movie witnessed a good hike and added around Rs 3.6 cr on Sat, followed by Rs 4.35 cr on Sunday. The film scored Rs 10.45 cr (nett) in its opening weekend.

Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency has stepped into its first Monday today (Jan 20). The film is expected to witness a drop in numbers on Monday. According to the latest Sacnilk updates, the movie recorded nearly 50% drop in footfalls during morning shows on its first Monday (today). Reportedly, the movie had around 4.37% occupancy in morning shows today. On Sunday, the movie enjoyed a solid 8.23% morning shows footfalls.

Emergency Budget & OTT Streaming Updates

Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 60 cr approximately, Kangana Ranaut's Emergency has been successfully pulling audiences to theatres. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of the movie. However, the official OTT release date is yet to be determined.
