Jaat Box Office Collection Prediction Day 20: Sunny Deol's latest Bollywood actioner Jaat has hit the bottom at the box office. The Gopichand Malineni directorial, released in cinemas globally on April 10, 2025, has recorded it lowest single day so far on its 3rd Monday, failing to even touch the Rs 70 lakh-mark. The Hindi-language action-drama has been facing a strong competition from Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday starrer latest Dharma film 'Kesari Chapter 2' (Kesari 2). Headlined by Sunny Deol with Randeep Hooda playing the antagonist alongside Saiyami Kher, Vineet Kumar Singh and Regina Cassandra among others, Jaat marks Deol's 2nd highest-grossing film in his career after 'Gadar 2'. Amidst strong pre-release buzz, Jaat opened to mostly positive reviews and minted around Rs 9.5 cr on the day of its release. For those unversed, this also marks Sunny Deol's second biggest-opening film.

Due to the strong buzz, Jaat went on to touch Rs 57.5 cr in its first week, followed by a major dip in the following week with only Rs 22 cr earning in week 2. The film did witness a slight boost in numbers on its 3rd weekend compared to the weekdays but it hardly made any difference. According to Sacnilk, the Sunny Deol starrer witnessed the lowest Monday yesterday and managed to add Rs 65 lakhs only (early estimates). Now, the 19-day total estimated nett collection stands at Rs 85.65 cr approx.

Following the massive response to Jaat, the makers, Mythri Movie Makers, announced its sequel Jaat 2 a few days ago. As the film is on its 20th day on big screens today (3rd Tuesday, April 29), the film has kickstarted its 3rd Tuesday in cinemas on a dull note. Given the current buzz, the film is likely to maintain its slow growth and mint around somewhere between Rs 60-70 lakhs today . If the prediction turns out to be correct, Jaat is expected to inch closer to the Rs 87 lakh-mark by the end of day 20.

Will Jaat Be Able To Recover Its 100% Budget Today?

Can Jaat recover its entire budget from the box office today? As per media reports surfacing online, the Sunny Deol starrer has been mounted on an alleged budget of Rs 100 cr approx. And given the prediction, along with the buzz, the film is highly unlikely to cross the Rs 100 cr-mark (nett collection) today itself.

Despite Jaat's decent box office success, director Gopichand Malineni recently admitted not being entirely satisfied with its earning. Talking to Mid-Day, the noted South filmmaker stated, "The censor clearance got delayed. So, our advance booking window opened only a day before the release. Had it opened two-three days earlier, we would've got bigger opening numbers. But since then, it has only grown. (sic)"

"It was done even before people objected. If a film has to be a blockbuster, it has to be watched by as many people as possible. No filmmaker wants to hurt any people or community. We want to entertain them, (sic)" he added.
