Raid 2 Collection Day 8 Early Trends: Ajay's Sequel Kickstarts Week 2 On Strong Note; Inches Closer To 100 Cr
Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 8 Early Updates: Ajay Devgn's highly-anticipated sequel 'Raid 2' had an impressive theatrical run in its first week. And now, the film has kickstarted its 2nd week on big screens on a positive note, maintaining a strong hold at ticket counters. Co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak and Rajat Kapoor among others in important roles, the Raj Kumar Gupta directorial had its grand theatrical release worldwide on May 1, 2025. Amidst strong pre-release buzz, the film opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. However, the thriller sequel maintained its momentum at the box office.
Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 7 (1st Week)
Raid 2, which sees Ajay Devgn reprising his iconic role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik and Ritiesh Deshmukh as the villain 'Dadabhai', had its own share of ups and downs at the box office. After a solid opening weekend, the sequel did witness a dip in numbers. Despite the slump earlier in the week, Raid 2 remained the top choice for cine-goers in cinemas.
Amid high expectations, Devgn's Raid 2 earned Rs 19.25 cr on the day of its release and became one of the biggest openers in Bollywood this year. The next day, the movie saw a noticeable 37.66% drop in numbers and managed to add Rs 12 cr, as per Sacnilk.
However, the film soon picked up the expected upward trend on the weekend and added around Rs 18 cr on Saturday (day 3), followed by Rs 22 cr on Sunday (day 4). Even though Raid 2 had a 65.91% dip on Monday, it maintained its strong position and netted around Rs 7.5 cr on day 5. As per Sacnilk, the film managed to earn Rs 4.75 cr (approx.) yesterday (day 7, Wednesday) and took the overall net amount to Rs 90.5 cr in its first week. With an overseas earning of Rs 17 cr, the latest Bollywood sequel's estimated worldwide collection stands at Rs 124.60 cr in its first week.

Raid 2 has entered its 2nd week and is expected to cross the magnetic Rs 100 cr-milestone ahead of its 2nd weekend. According to the latest Sacnilk updates, Ajay Devgn's is maintaining its poise on its 2nd Thursday and has raked in around Rs 3.61 cr today till 8:25 PM IST. As of now, the total net numbers are estimated to be at Rs 94.11 cr (net).

As per the same Sacnilk report, the film has an overall 9.31% Hindi occupancy today (Thursday, 8 May 2025).

Raid 2 Budget, OTT Streaming Platform Updates
If the Bollymoviereviewz report is to be believed, Raid 2 is made on an alleged budget of Rs 120 cr. According to an OTTPlay report, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of the sequel. That means, the film will have its OTT premiere on Netflix post its theatrical run.
When Will Raid 2 Release On Netflix?
While the exact OTT release date is yet to be announced, as per the same OTTPlay report, in the latter half of June 2025 or early July 2025. However, an official confirmation I still awaited.
