The Hindi-language crime-thriller sequel, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, hit cinemas worldwide on Labour Day, May 1, and benefitted from its sequel factor. Even though the movie received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, it stood strong at the ticket counters. Raid 2 sees Ajay Devgn reprising one of his iconic characters, IRS officer Amay Patnaik, and locking horns with Riteish Deshmukh's character 'Dadabhai'. With an opening day earning of Rs 19.25 cr, the sequel rode high on the buzz and touched the Rs 90.5 cr mark in its first week amidst ups and downs.

As per Sacnilk, the Ajay Devgn starter recorded a 10.53% hike in numbers on Thursday (yesterday, May 8), taking the total net collection to Rs 95.75 cr in 8 days. Till 2nd Thurs, the movie managed to mint around Rs 17.15 cr at the overseas market with a worldwide amount of Rs 131 cr.

As reported by Koimoi, Raid 2 has officially become Ajay Devgn's 4th highest-grossing film post-Covid 19. The film has surpassed the lifetime collection of his 2023 film 'Bholaa', which is R 90 cr (approx.).
