Rashmika Mandanna, in a candid conversation with India Today, shared the exciting journey of how she became part of the film Sikandar. She expressed her awe and gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Salman Khan, reflecting on it as a significant achievement in her career. "Being able to reach the place where you get to work with SK (Salman Khan). It just feels like you've done something right," she remarked. This sentiment highlights the importance of the role and her excitement about it.

The moment Rashmika received the call for Sikandar, she was intrigued by the prospect of combining commercial cinema's appeal with meaningful storytelling. She emphasized her desire for commercial films to possess depth and emotion, which became a key factor in her decision to join the project. "So, when I got this call, I knew that, OK, I want to do commercial films, but I wanted depth in commercial films and I needed emotions in commercial films. And that's when it sort of attracts me to do the film," she explained.

Rashmika was in Vizag, busy with another project, when the opportunity for Sikandar came knocking. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala initiated the conversation, piquing her interest with something he described as "really exciting." She decided to dive deeper into the project details, leading to a meeting with the first assistant director for a story narration. "So Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir first made the call, and he said, 'OK, we have something really exciting for you.' I was just like, 'OK, sir, let me take up the narration'," Rashmika recalled.
