Sikandar Movie Review: Salman Khan Delivers Action-Packed Moments, Backed By Rashmika’s Graceful Presence

Sikandar Movie Review: Amid a huge buzz and high expectations, Bollywood star Salman Khan is finally back to entertain fans with his much-hyped film Sikandar. The action thriller is among the most anticipated films of the year, and moviegoers have been eagerly awaiting its theatrical release.
Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal among others in important characters, Sikandar has been making headlines ever since the makers unveiled its trailer. The film marks much-awaited comeback of Salman Khan after the underperformance of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3.
Just like them, even I was excited about this year's Eid release Sikandar and just watched it. Well, let's analyze the movie.
SIKANDAR PLOT REVIEW
The story revolves around Sanjay, aka Sikandar (Salman Khan), whose life turns upside down after he beats a minister's son (Prateik Smita Patil) on a flight to stop him from doing something terrible. The incident goes viral, putting Sikandar in the crosshairs of a vengeful minister (Sathyaraj) and his men. As tensions escalate, a tragic accident pushes Sikandar to take matters into his own hands, setting the stage for an action-packed ride.
Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, aimed to deliver a high-octane action thriller but falters due to a weak storyline and an overstretched narrative. While the film boasts grand ambitions and a compelling premise, it struggles to maintain engagement. Despite Salman Khan's powerful performance, the execution fails to sustain the initial promise, making it a film that falls short of expectations.
SIKANDAR ACTING REVIEW
While Salman Khan shines in the action sequences, delivering his trademark swag and intensity, Rashmika Mandanna, playing his wife, proves to be a strong support system despite limited screen space. Despite their noticeable age gap, the duo shares good onscreen chemistry, which the makers have justified in the narrative.
Rashmika looks stunning and plays her part effectively. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rest of the cast. Sharman Joshi and Kajal Aggarwal were underutilized, while Sathyaraj's antagonist lacks depth and fails to make a lasting impact.
SIKANDAR OVERALL VERDICT
The film's biggest flaw lies in its screenplay. The first half is unnecessarily stretched, and despite some high points, the storytelling feels ineffective. The second half does little to improve the pace, with unnecessary subplots dragging down the overall impact. What should have been a tight, gripping thriller ends up feeling dull and predictable.
Overall, Sikandar is a must-watch for Salman fans as he has returned to the silver screen after a long time. As expected, Salman Khan delivered a strong performance, is in his mass avatar and did really well in action scenes. Overall, the film is a one-time watch, salvaged only by Salman's action sequences and Rashmika's graceful presence.
