Released on June 12, the Partition-era romance had a modest start at the box office despite earning widespread praise from critics and audiences. However, the film has witnessed a remarkable turnaround over the past few days and is now enjoying a successful second-week run.
The growing buzz around the film has even resulted in additional shows being added in Mumbai, reflecting the increasing audience demand. Adding to the buzz, Main Vaapas Aaunga continues to hold steady at the ticket counters on Day 12 (June 23) as well.
Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office Collection Day 11 (Second Monday)
Featuring Vedang Raina, Sharvari, Naseeruddin Shah, and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead, the romantic drama, Main Vaapas Aaunga, opened to positive reviews but took time to find its footing commercially.
After beginning its journey with a collection of around ₹1.15 cr, the film wrapped up its first week with approximately ₹14.50 crore net in India. The real breakthrough came during its second weekend, when audience footfalls surged significantly and collections witnessed a sharp upward trend.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned ₹2.50 cr net on its second Monday, registering a drop of around 56.5% from Sunday. With this, its 11-day India net collection stood at ₹26.75 cr, while the India gross total reached ₹31.97 cr.
Main Vaapas Aaunga 12 Days Collection Early Trend (Tuesday)
The film continues its impressive run on Tuesday (today) as well. As per Sacnilk's real-time estimates, Main Vaapas Aaunga has already crossed more than half of its previous day's earnings by 6:00 PM.
The film has collected approximately ₹1.46 cr net so far on Day 12, taking its India net collection to around ₹28.21 cr and its India gross collection to approximately ₹33.69 cr.
