The hot and happening actress Shilpa Shetty is always in the news for all the wrong reasons. She won the sympathy of the people all over the world when one of the contestants of the British reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother spelled racist comments on her. She eventually went on to win the show and become a global star. She was in the news again recently for kissing Hollywood actor Richard Gere at an AIDS awareness programme. As if these are not enough, she has fallen into yet another controversy.
Her film Apne, where the three Deols - Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby acted together, has pushed her into another controversy. It was reported that she was upset with the Deols for not letting her watch the film on the same screen as the Deols. But the actress a different story to say. In fact, she was shocked to hear the news.
"On the contrary, I'm more miffed with this fabrication than anything the Deols did or didn't do. she screams from Paris where she has just landed. I love the Deols, especially Dharamji, to death. Why would they treat me badly? And why would I take offence about the seating arrangement? The truth is that Shamita and I had to attend a family function in the night. We thought we'd attend the Apne premiere and then go to the function. But the screening started very late, so we just showed our faces and had to leave. That's it. The next day, on Friday, I had a special screening of Apne for my family and friends," said the actress who is in Paris at present.
She also rubbished off the rumours of the problem with the Deols. "Throughout the making of Apne, we had so much fun. I knew I didn't have an author-backed role. But just the pleasure of being in the same screen space as Dharamji, Sunny and Bobby made me very excited. If Anil Sharma makes Apne 2, I want to be part of it," she said.
In spite of all the dirty talks, Shilpa is soaring high. Controversy seems to be her source of inspiration because she comes out stronger every time she falls into it. So much has been happening to her life at the moment. She is all set to write a book on cookery, she is making a DVD video on Yoga and featuring in the musical From Bollywood to Hollywood. Adding more fragrance to her life, she has become the latest star to launch her own fragrance in UK. With her perfume named S2, she has joined the likes of Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and Paris Hilton.
Shilpa is strong indeed!
