Inspector Zende Story
Inspector Zende is a crime thriller, but it also incorporates comedy and drama directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, featuring Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Girija Oak, Sachin Khedekar, Harish Dudhade, Bhau Kadam, Sumit Chandra, and many more. Inspector Zende produced by Om Raut, Jay Shewakramani under Northern Lights Films.
Story
Inspector Zende is a gripping crime thriller inspired by real events, revolving around Mumbai’s determined police officer Madhukar Zende (played by Manoj Bajpayee) as he hunts down the elusive and charismatic serial killer Carl Bhojraj (Jim Sarbh). Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1970s and 80s Mumbai, the film takes you on an intense cat-and-mouse chase after Bhojraj escapes from Tihar Jail. With a mix of crime, quirky humor, and nostalgia, the story draws loose inspiration from the notorious criminal Charles Sobhraj, infamously known as the “Bikini Killer.”
