Kabir Singh Story

Kabir Singh is a Bollywood romance-drama, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Kabir Singh is an official remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, which stars Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead.

The film opens with a scene of man and a woman sleeping on a bed, lulled by sounds of the sea which lies just ahead. Few minutes later, we enter the stormy world of Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor). He is a brillant medical surgeon and a football champ. But, he's deeply problematic and suffers from rage issues.

Kabir becomes a 'rebel with a cause' when his eyes fall on his college junior Preeti (Kiara Advani). The docile girl soon reciprocates his feelings. But when he loses her owing to a rift in their relationship, he sinks himself in a tsunami of self-pity and destruction. Over a crazy ride of booze, drugs and emotion-less sex, Kabir tries to get over this painful 'phase' of his life.

The film chronicles an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his old flame gets married. Kabir Singh is produced by Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner Cine1 Studios and T-Series Pvt.Ltd and is distributed by AA Films Pvt.Ltd. Santhana Krishnan and Ravichandran have wielded the camera for Kabir Singh. The movie has its movie composed by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Vishal Mishra, Sachet-Parampara and Akhil Sachdeva.

The movie is scheduled to release on June 21.
