Nawab The Nautch Girl and the John Company is a period film, a dark comedy set in 1857 Lucknow aginst the backdrop of East India Company, is the story of a Nawab and his obssessive love for a nautch girl played by Chitrangda Singh. The regal Nawab with a boyish charm is inspired by Wajid Ali Shah and Bahadur Shah Zafar. He has created a myth about himself of being a hero and now he must live up to it.
