The Bengal Files Story
The Bengal Files is a drama directed and written by Vivek Agnihotri, featuring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Puneet Issar, Babbu Mann, Govind Namdeo, Pallavi Joshi, Namashi Chakraborthy, Richard Keep, Satwant Kaur, and many more. The Delhi Files is produced by Abhishek Agarwal, Archana Agarwal, Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi under the I Am Buddha Production banner.
Plot
In this film, director Vivek Agnihotri once again employs the narrative style seen in The Kashmir Files, weaving together two parallel timelines. On one side, the story depicts the riots of 1946, just before India’s independence, while on the other, it follows the present-day investigation and inquiry into those tragic events. The trailer also features portrayals of historical figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, adding depth to the unfolding narrative.
Release Date
The Bengal Files was released on hit theaters on 5 September 2025.
