The Kerala Story Story

The Kerala Story is based on true stories of the girls & women trafficked to ISIS is a Hindi social drama written and directed by Sudipto Sen, while the screenplay and dialogue were penned by Suryapal Singh and Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, and Benedict Garrett starred in the lead roles, along with Bhavna Makhija, Pranay Pachauri, and many other supporting roles.

Sanjay Sharma edited the film, and Prasantanu Mohapatra handled the cinematography. The background music and soundtrack for this movie were composed by Bishakhjyoti and Viresh Sreevalsa, while Anant, Ozil Dalal, and Viresh Sreevalsa wrote the lyrics for the songs.

In this movie, numerous singers, including Sunidhi Chauhan, K. S. Chithra, and Athul Narukara, sang a song. The film was produced by Sunshine Pictures, headed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. With the caption "Heartbreaking and gut-wrenching stories of 32,000 females in Kerala!" they launched the trailer.

Plot

Fatima Ba, a turned Muslim woman, recounts the story of how she was previously interested in becoming a nurse but got separated from her parents and persuaded by religious leaders to sign on as an ISIS terrorist and end up in an Afghan prison.

Release Date

The movie "The Kerala Story" will release in theatres on May 5, 2023.
