The Tashkent Files Story

The Tashkent Files is a Bollywood mystery-drama, helmed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Shweta Basu, Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Pallavi Joshi, Ankur Rathee and Prakash Belawadi in the lead roles.

The Tashkent Files revolves around a young, ambitious journalist Ragini (Shweta Basu Prasad) who publishes an article about the mysterious death of India's second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shashtri. Things pick up steam and an official inquiry committee is set by the government to investigate Shashtri's death. The rest of the plot revolves around how Ragini tries to uncover the truth by turning back the pages of history and comes face to face with the world of politics and espionage.
