Apart from her gorgeous solo stills for the inside pages, the magazine also conducted a special photoshoot of the actress with her favourite directors. Homi Adjania, Shoojit Sircar, Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty and Imtiaz Ali were all part of this photoshoot.
Each picture of Deepika with these five directors showcases the special bond she shares with them. One of these directors, Shoojit Srircar loves the beauty so much that he was upset over her losing the National Award win more than Deepika herself.
Shoojit said, "We were expecting Mr Bachchan to win. I was quite sure that he had great chances of winning the best actor award as he was incredible as Bhashkor Banerjee. I was really hoping for Deepika to win the best actress award as I feel she gave a beautiful performance."
He further added, "But Kangana is another fine talent and I am sure the jury found her deserving of the honour."
Not just Shoojit, another favourite director of Deepika who was not part of Grazia's shoot, Sanjay Leela Bhansali too was upset and wanted Deepika to bag the National Award.
He said that he would have liked Deepika to win the award for Bajirao Mastani and added, "However, as the jury thought Kangana was the better choice, I agree she has done a fabulous job in 'Tanu Weds Manu returns'. I am very happy for Kangana but as a director-producer, I wanted Priyanka or Deepika to win."
