Ashish Vidyarthi: Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi sent shockwaves when he got married last month to Kokatta-based entrepreneur Rupali Barua at the age of 57. The actor's personal life suddenly became the hot topic of discussion, while many questioned his divorce from his first wife.

Meanwhile, he recently opened up about the special media trolling he has been receiving for getting married for the second time at the age of 57. He revealed that the trolls shocked him and stated that they were derogatory.

Speaking to India Today in an interview, the Rana Naidu actor talked about getting trolled for marriage at his age and how many questioned his decision. "I read words like boodha, khusat and many more derogatory words. What is interesting is that it is a comment that each one of us, whoever is saying that, we are passing on others who are older than us," he shared.

Further, he added, "At the same time, we are giving that fear to ourselves, because each one of us, hopefully, will become old. We are telling ourselves, 'hey, listen, don't do things just because you're old.' So, does that mean you're supposed to die unhappy? If somebody wants companionship, why should he not?"

He also asked the trolls about creating walls for those who are law-abiding human beings, and are doing all legal things. He stated, "That person is making a personal choice, to get married, legally, with another person, who's also keen to have a family and live with love."

He then added that all humans should be supporting each other rather than puncturing them, and he said that he was shocked reading all that "because throughout my life I have added value."

Ashish Vidyarthi got hitched to entrepreneur Rupali Barua in an intimate ceremony on May 25 amid close friends and family. In a video statement, the actor recalled how he met Ruplai and also said that he and his first wife, Piloo, parted ways amicably.

In the video, he also urged people to respect how "people are living their lives."

Workwise, Ashish Vidyarthi has worked in films across multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi, and Bengali.
