The last rites of legendary Indian spinner Bishan Bedi were performed in New Delhi today, on Tuesday. Bedi passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness. He was 77. The last rites was attended by several Bollywood celebs and big names from the Indian cricket fraternity. From Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, and Sharmila Tagore to Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Sehwag, and Kirti Azad, celebs paid a tearful adieu to the legend.

Ranbir Kapoor recently interacted with fans via Zoom where he shared an update on Brahmastra 2. He said, “Brahmastra Part 2 is heavy into writing. We are working on it all the time. It’s just last week that Ayan narrated the film to me and he has gone 10 times bigger than Part 1 – his idea, his thought, the character. He is working on War 2 right now. So the plan is to finish War 2 by mid-next year and we start shooting hopefully by the end of next year or the beginning of 2025. But definitely a lot of work is already been happening on the film." He concluded, "We understood the kind of criticism for the film, what worked for it and what didn’t. So we have put everything into consideration, the dialogue and comments on Shiva and Isha’s missing chemistry. A lot of criticism was constructive and we have taken that into our stride and we are trying to understand that and go beyond that.”

The eighth installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise has been postponed a year, signalling a new wave of release schedule juggling for Hollywood studios as the actors strike surpasses three months of work stoppage. Paramount Pictures on Monday shifted the release date of the next “Mission: Impossible” from June 28 to May 23, 2025. Production on the follow-up to Christopher McQuarrie's “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” was paused in July while Tom Cruise and company embarked on an international promotion blitz for “Dead Reckoning.” (The sequel had been titled “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two" but is now simply listed as “Mission: Impossible.”) “Dead Reckoning” ultimately grossed USD 567.5 million worldwide, falling shy of the 2018 installment “Fallout” (USD 791.7 million globally) and the heady highs of Cruise's summer 2022 blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” (USD 1.5 billion). As Hollywood's labour turmoil has continued, it's increasingly upended release plans, not just for movies this fall that want to wait until their stars can promote them (like “Dune: Part Two”, postponed to March), but also for some of next year's top big-screen attractions. A string of Marvel movies have previously shifted back, as did the third “Venom” film. “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse", has been delayed indefinitely after being dated for March 2024. Paramount also announced Monday that “A Quiet Place: Day One", a prequel to the post-apocalyptic horror series starring Lupita Nyong'o, will have its release pushed from March to when “Dead Reckoning" had been scheduled to open on June 28. Negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and the studios are scheduled to resume Tuesday.

In the caption, she mentioned how she and Ajay Devgn's son Yug served bhog at a Mumbai pandal song with his cousin Aaman Devgan. "Third day. Shubho Navami. And it was an amazing day. My son served at the bhog and understood why I do it every year.. a newbie Aaman Devgan served and felt the power of the puja. So many people that I love were there and so many happy feelings all over. The pujo has ended for everyone else but we still have a just our thing so that feels a little better .. there is a feeling of sadness mixed with elation that it was a successful year and now it's at an end." Former cricketer and India spinner Bishan Singh Bedi, who was also the father of actor Angad Bedi and father-in-law of Neha Dhupia, passed away at the age of 77 on Monday, October 23. He had been battling health issues for the past two years and had undergone medical procedures, including knee surgery about a month ago. On Tuesday morning, Angad Bedi and his wife Neha Dhupia shared an official statement to pay tribute to the late sports legend in an official joint statement along with a photo of the late Bishan Singh Bedi. The statement read, “While we are in shock and overcome with grief, we find solace in knowing that he lived a rich, fearless and full life that inspired many. We are moved by each and every message of love we have received, publicly and personally. Thank you to everyone for celebrating his grit, humour and giant heart. It is heartwarming to see how many generations Dad inspired through his life. Every day of his life was spent in devotion to his family and faith, and in service to his Waheguru. He epitomised living a life that was Nirbhau-Nirvair and we are comforted in knowing that he is with His Beloved now.”

Shahid Kapoor has finally revealed the reason behind his buzz-cut look, and it is for a new cop film titled Deva. On the occasion of Dussehra, Shahid took to his Instagram page, dropped his look in front of the film, and also announced its release date. He can be seen flaunting his short hairdo while holding a gun in his hand, wearing a half-button shirt and khakee pants with a bracelet. In the caption, he wrote, “DEVA in theatres on Dussehra 11th October 2024,” he wrote. The film also stars Pooja Hegde.

Actors Ishita Dutta and husband Vatsal Sheth, who were recently blessed with a baby boy, Vaayu, took their newborn son to his first Durga Puja celebration on Monday. Sharing a few photos from their visit to North Bombay Durga Puja on Instagram, Ishita revealed in the caption what they prayed for. The actress captioned the post, "Vaayu’s first Durga Pujo, a sacred moment when we brought him to the pandal to seek Durga Maa’s blessings. As we stand before her divine presence, we pray for a lifetime filled with spirituality, love, and boundless grace. #SubhoNavami." Ishita wore a silk saree and held Vaayu in her arms while Vatsal stood beside them. The baby is seen in a white outfit and twinned with his dad.

Producer and actor Sandiip Sikcand has slammed Ankita Lokhande for taking a stand for the TV fraternity after the actress indulged in a war of words with rapper Firoza Khan, aka Khanzaadi, for mocking her in B17 House for belonging to the television industry. Although many TV actresses came in support of Ankita, Sandiip Sickand, who has produced multiple shows on television, took to his Instagram Stories and slammed the actor for expressing their love for the medium in Bigg Boss 17. He blamed them for exploiting the work culture in the television industry themselves and not staying honest with their work. He wrote, "All these TV actors who are suddenly talking about their LOVE for TV and their profession... I wonder where does that love go when they dole out 3 & 4 hours (of the agreed 12 hours) for a shoot, when they demand script changes, when they have ridiculous demands on dialogues and at the end of it, if they sign a film or an event or even an ad, theTV commitment goes straight out of the window. So my request is to kindly SHUT UP! There are just very few actors who genuinely respect & acknowledge TV & they never have to shout and make a scene about it... #theloudestvoiceisnotalwaystrue'.”

Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff's action film, Ganapath: A Hero Is Born, which was released on October 20, has been struggling to put up numbers at the box office. On its first Monday, October 23, it fell to Rs 1.3 crore. The film’s four-day collection now stands at Rs 8.3 crore. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Ganapath also stars Amitabh Bachchan. On Friday, it opened at Rs 2.5 crore and went on to earn Rs 2.25 crore on both Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, the film recorded 10.62 percent Hindi occupancy, as per the report.
