As per a report, the Hollywood film Barbie’s release has been delayed in Pakistan as the country's film certification board awaits clearance from the provincial board in Punjab province. Directed by Greta Gerwig, Barbie features Margot Robbie as a stereotypical Barbie’ doll, while Ryan Gosling stars as her partner Ken. The Secretary of the Punjab Film Censor Board, Farrukh Mahmood, told The Guardian, "We will review the film before its release in the country." Another report in The Independent also quoted "local reports" and claimed that the release has been delayed over "objectionable content".

The trailer for Choona was dropped on Tuesday, featuring Jimmy Shergill as a politician who is aspiring to become the CM. The action-packed heist comedy drama series is expected to release on Netflix on August 3. It also stars Aashim Gulati, Vikram Kochhar, Chandan Roy, Namit Das, Gyanendra Tripathi, Atul Srivastava, Monika Panwar, and Niharika Lyra Dutt in key roles. It is directed by Helmed by Pushpendra Nath Misra.

According to a report by India Today, Mumbai’s Magistrate Court has summoned lyricist Javed Akhtar on a complaint filed by actress Kangana Ranaut for criminal intimidation and insult. The complaint includes Indian Penal Code sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insult to the modesty of a woman). He has to appear before the Andheri court on August 5. In 2016, Javed called Kangana to his home to advise her on her public discord with Hrithik Roshan. In 2020, Kangana said in an interview that he had threatened her for speaking on the issue. Javed then filed a defamation suit against the actress. She also lodged a complaint against him afterward.

On Tuesday, Ayushmann Khurrana unveiled his first look from his upcoming comedy-drama Dream Girl 2. Yeh toh sirf pehli jhalak hai. Objects in the mirror are more khoobsurat than they appear!" Ayushmann wrote in the caption. The film also stars Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz in key roles. Helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl 2 is the sequel to the 2019 hit film of the same name. Produced by Shoba Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms, the film is scheduled to release on August 25.

Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar, who was married to singer Adnan Sami from 1993–97, recalled the difficult time after they separated. In an interview with Aamna Haider Isani, Zeba said that her marriage with Adnan didn't work out and that she had lost her mind. In the same interview, she stated: "No woman ever breaks a marriage because she wants to break it. She does it when she reaches that point...you know, a point where you cannot take beyond that. When you absolutely have to. It is never like 'I am going to be a cool and empowered woman and I will leave home'. No! Television actress Juhi Parmar took to social media to share her views on the recently released Hollywood movie Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Juhi, who took her 10-year-old daughter Samairra for the film, stated that they walked out of the theatre within 10 minutes. On her Instagram handle, the actress penned a long note and talked about why she couldn't let her kid watch the movie. Sharing the note, she captioned her post: "A lot of my own audience is not going to happy with what I share today. Some of you may send me a lot of angst, but I share this note as a concerned parent to Barbie! And for the other parents out there, don’t make the mistake I did and please do check before you take your child for the film, that choice is yours!"

Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie both witnessed a drop at the Indian box office. While Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer Barbie on Monday, day 4 earned around Rs 2.5 crore, taking its total earnings till now to 21.15 crore. On the other hand, Chillian Murphy’s Oppenheimer, after a spectacular first weekend, also saw a dip on Monday, minting Rs 7 crore. The film’s total earnings stand at Rs 55.75 crore.

The first look of Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Punjab 95, a biopic based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was unveiled by the makers on Monday, with an announcement that the film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023. Sharing the first look poster on social media, Diljit Dosanjh wrote, "Waheguruji ka Khalsa Waheguruji ki Fateh! World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Presenting the first look of Punjab ‘95, a compelling story based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji". Helmed by Honey Trehan, Punjab 95 also features Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky.

As per reports, Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3’s teaser will be attached to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan theatre prints, which are releasing on September 7. Meanwhile, the character teaser for Tiger 3 will be out on August 15. Sharing the promotional plan for the film, Film trade tracker Manobala Vijayabalan shared some important dates, including the character teaser on August 15, followed by the teaser and the trailer release on September 28. The release of Shah Rukh’s poster for Tiger 3 will be on the occasion of the actor’s 58th birthday on November 2. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 will release on Diwali, November 10.
