On Wednesday, popular actress Adah Sharma, renowned for her prominent role in The Kerala Story, was admitted to the hospital. As per a statement from a close source, the actor has been diagnosed with severe diarrhea and a food allergy. Despite her health setback, Adah is eagerly anticipating the release of Commando, the spin-off series of the action-packed film franchise, scheduled for this month.

After making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May of 2023 with her film Kennedy, Sunny Leone has been receiving acclaim for her brilliant performance as femme fatale Charlie. The film has been seen by audiences all over the world at numerous film festivals. Soon, the actor will be seen in the Tamil film Quotation Gang, which the actress announced with a teaser she posted online.

Following Dharmendra and Karan Johar's remarks, Shabana Azmi has also addressed the highly-discussed kissing scene in the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. During an interview with Zoom, Shabana shared that Javed Akhtar, her husband, showed no concerns or worries about her on-screen kiss with Dharmendra. She said, "What bothered him was my rowdy behaviour. Throughout the film I was applauding, whistling, cheering and shouting. He was like, ‘I don’t know this woman sitting next to me.’ I went insane with excitement."

According to reports, actress Parineeti Chopra has teamed up with Dinesh Vijan for a musical film. A report by Pinkvilla, stated that the untitled movie is about a woman-led story set in the UK. The shooting for the film will begin in October 2023. Quitting a source, the report said, "It’s a delightful and entertaining story centered around an independent woman, with Parineeti playing a bubbly character. While the director and other movie details are currently kept under wraps, the pre-production is set to commence next month. The makers are also in discussions with Anupam Kher for an important role."

Actor Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that his upcoming movie OMG 2’s trailer launch has been postponed. The film’s trailer was supposed to be released today at 11 a.m., but in the wake of art director Nitin Desai’s death, the makers have decided to unveil it tomorrow at the same time. Calling it a huge loss for the film industry, Kumar said that the trailer will be released on Thursday, August 3. He tweeted: "Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity. He worked on so many of my films… this is a huge loss. Out of respect, we are not releasing the OMG 2 trailer today. Will launch it tomorrow at 11am. Om Shanti." Desai allegedly committed suicide at his studio in Kargat.

On Thursday, Ranveer Singh shared a couple of photos and videos with his 93-year-old Nana. Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a heartwarming post saying that his character Rocky from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is the embodiment of his nana. The first photo shows the actor posing with his nana and making the peace sign. Ranveer spotted a blue sweatshirt, while his nanu wore a black tee with Team Rocky written on it. In the next slide, we see both of them vibe to the song "What Jhumka?" In the last video, we see Nana saying, "Tiqqi chorro Tequila lao! (bring Tequila for me)." "Nana is peak Rocky-ism! Renowned art director Nitin Desai’s death has come as a shock for the entire Hindi and Marathi film industries. He was found dead in his studio on Wednesday, and police suspect suicide. Meanwhile, remembering his dearest friend, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to X (previously known as Twitter) to pay tribute. Sharing a few photos with Desai, Madhur mentioned the films they have worked on together. He wrote, "Just heard the devastating news about the passing of multiple National award-winner Art Director Nitin Desai. It's hard to believe. Had the privilege of working with him on four remarkable films. #TrafficSignal, #fashion , #jail & #InduSarkar His immense talent and extrovert personality made every project unforgettable. Indian cinema has lost a true gem. Heartfelt condolences to his family members . We will miss you Dada. #OmShanti."

Actor Jason Momoa, who turned 44 on Tuesday, celebrated the day with a snowy hot tub session. Art director Nitin Desai was found dead on Wednesday at his N D Studio in Karjat. The initial reports suggest that he died by alleged suicide. Police are yet to share details on his death, while it is reported that he died at 4 a.m. No suicide note has been recovered. In the meantime, Somnath Gharge, SP, Raigad, said, "Today morning, Shri Nitin Desai’s body was found hanging in ND Studios. We are investigating all angles." As per claims, Desai was going through financial distress, and his studio wasn’t running well. Nitin made his Bollywood debut in 1989 with Parinda and worked on several Hindi films, including 1942: A Love Story (1993), Khamoshi: The Musical (1995), Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Mission Kashmir (2000), Paurashpur (2020), and others. He has won four National Awards for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (1999), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (2000), Lagaan (2002), and Devdas (2003). He has also produced two Marathi films, Raja Shivchatrapati in 2008 and 2018’s Truckbhar Swapna.

In a recent interview with Film Companion, director Karan Johar talked about the possibility of a sequel to his recent hit movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. When asked about Rocky Aur Rani’s life post-marriage, Karan said he sees Rocky and Rani living 'away from their parents', and neither of them moving in with each other's families. When host Anupama Chopra asked about Karan’s plan for a sequel, he replied, "You know we discussed a part 2. We used to chat about it – Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and me. We were like ‘What has got to be the story because these two deserve a spin-off’. I am like ‘Who knows’! We imagined a story. We actually have a kind of story, but we don't know. This was too nascent a thought. Definitely I see Rocky and Rani living somewhere in Delhi, but away from their parents. Because now they know that even though the backseat driving is being done by the family, they are okay. They are in decent control of the front seat."
