After a considerable passage of time, a much-awaited reunion is finally materializing. Salman Khan is now a part of director Vishnu Vardhan's upcoming film, which will be produced under Karan Johar's esteemed banner, Dharma Productions. The movie is set to hit cinema screens worldwide in time for Christmas 2024, according to the ongoing reports. However, an official announcement from the makers' side is still awaited.

During the weekend, there was an unexpected incident involving actress Tamannaah Bhatia, as a fan managed to breach security and reach out to hold her hand at an event. The actress, elegantly dressed in a traditional saree, was present at an inauguration ceremony when a fan leaped over the barricades in an attempt to meet her. In the poster, SRK is seen bald and holding a gun, while in the background, he is seen covered in bandages. The poster has a blue tint. Directed by Atlee, the pan-India film also features Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Riddhi Dogra, among others. The film releases on September 7 this year.

Youtuber and actress Kusha Kapila announced her split from husband Zorawar Ahluwalia. It's been 40 days, and the actor took to her social media page on Sunday and penned a long note on how the grief doesn't slow down. She captioned her post: "Let’s file this under ‘sunday evenings are the worst’." While she started the two slides by writing, "It's a weird thing, this grief or whatever version of it I am currently experiencing. Greta Gerwig’s fantasy comedy film Barbie became the first ever female-directed movie to join the billion-dollar club as the film crossed billion in box office ticket sales worldwide. According to Warner Bros. Pictures, the film has minted 9 million from domestic theatres (the United States and Canada) and 2.1 million overseas, which accounts for a total of .0315 billion. Barbie this weekend made 7 million. Jeff Goldstein, president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures, and Andrew Cripps, president of international distribution, stated in a statement, "As distribution chiefs, we're not often rendered speechless by a film's performance, but Barbillion has blown even our most optimistic predictions out of the water."

Karan Johar's directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club at the domestic box office in just 10 days. The film was released on July 28. As per industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the film has minted over Rs 105 crore nett. It stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. On day 10, August 6, the rom-com made Rs 13.50, taking its total collection to Rs 105.08 crore.

Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s music-awaited sci-fi thriller movie Kalki 2898 AD’s first footage was recently unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con last month. The film was previously titled Project K. During an interaction with News18, the film’s director, Nag Ashwin, was asked if there was any delay in its release. Responding to the question, Ashwin said, "There’s still a little bit of shoot left and I’ll be going back into filming, so my headspace is presently back in that." Further, when asked about the reprots of Kalki 2898 AD’s release date being pushed to May 9, 2024, he clarified, saying, "I’ll have to check horoscopes and a few constellation positions and we’ll know then."
