Exclusive! Laapataa Ladies Actress Chhaya Kadam Reveals THIS About Munjya, "For You He Is A Ghost, But..."

If we say '2024 is a Chhaya Kadam year, and we are living in it', we are surely not wrong. This year, she has already impressed us with her wonderful performance in movies like Laapataa Ladies and Madgaon Express, and she also left a mark at Cannes Film Festival as her movie All We Imagine As Light was the first film from India to compete in the main competition since 1994, and it won the Grand Prix. Now, she is gearing up for her next release titled Bardovi which is a horror film.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Chhaya Kadam, and when asked her if she has faced any paranormal activity in her life, the actress said, "I feel there's a ghost and a god inside a human. But, I recollect that recently I was shooting in Mussoorie, and there was a huge bungalow. The other members of the unit were shooting there since 3-4 days, and I joined later. We were shooting at night, and suddenly something happened and the lights went off, and rolling was stopped. So, I asked them what happened, let's shoot? No one said anything, they all were just waiting."

"So, I again asked what happened? Someone said nothing has happened, but when we shoot here this happens suddenly, and we have to wait for sometime and then start the work. Aur mujhe laga, yeh kya hai? So there, suddenly the lights go off and you have to wait. To believe it or to not believe it that depends on an individual, and I am from Konkan, so I have heard a lot of stories and I have spoken to people who have seen ghost, but I haven't seen it. However, I would like to see (laughs)," she added.

When we told her that as she mentioned Konkan, we recollected the recently released film Munjya, to which she said, "For you Munjya is a ghost, but if I talk to my grandmother, she will say, 'toh rakhana karto', means he is someone taking care of that place; he is a good person. So, this happens in Konkan."

Bardovi Release Date

Bardovi is slated to release on 2nd August 2024. The movie is directed by Karan Shivajirao Chavan, and it also stars Chittaranjan Giri and Virat Madake.
