Pushpa 2 Exclusive: Superstar Allu Arjun has once again captured the spotlight with his much-anticipated Telugu film, Pushpa 2 - The Rule. Directed by Sukumar, this action-packed drama serves as a sequel to the blockbuster hit Pushpa - The Rise from 2021. Since its announcement, the film has generated immense buzz and excitement among fans.

The long wait finally came to an end earlier this month, as Pushpa 2 released marking the superstar's grand return to the silver screen. As expected, Allu Arjun is winning hearts for his portrayal of the iconic Pushpa Raj in the sequel. For those who are unaware, actor Shreyas Talpade has dubbed for the South superstar in the film's Hindi version.

In an exclusive chat with Filmibeat, Shreyas Talpade opened up about being the Hindi voice of Allu Arjun's Pushpa character, the response he's getting, and more. Here are the excerpts:

F - Pushpa 2 has turned out to be a huge box-office success. What kind of reactions you've been getting for it?

Shreyas: The response and love that I am getting from everyone across the board for Pushpa 2 is extremely overwhelming. I am extremely grateful, happy and humbled by the amount of love that the audience is showering on me. It is as if I have performed on-screen. It is that kind of reaction that I am getting so I am very very happy.

F - What was your initial reaction when you were approached to dub for Allu Arjun's character in Pushpa?

Shreyas: When I was approached for the first part of Pushpa, I was quite surprised because prior to that, I had only dubbed for one film which was 'The Lion King' in Hindi and for a character like Timon whose voice is nowhere close to or near to what the voice quality of Pushpa is. I was actually surprised. But then, I actually decided to see the film before taking any call. I saw the film and I loved it. That's how I decided to go ahead and dub the film. Obviously, 1 was followed by the sequel and the producers wanted me to dub for the second part as well. So they requested. Of course I saw the film again and I was extremely happy with the sequel and that's how I decided to go ahead with the second part as well.

F - How does it feel to be the Hindi voice for a character that has become a cultural phenomenon across India?

Shreyas: Without any doubt, it definitely feels good that you are a part of a film and a character that is becoming a cultural phenomenon across the globe, if I may say so. Whoever is watching all over the globe, be it Indians or others, it feels amazing.
