AR Rahman Hospitalized After Sudden Chest Pain

On Sunday morning (today, March 16), AR Rahman caused a major health scare over reports of him getting hospitalized after complaints of sudden chest pain.

According to a report published by Asianet News, AR Rahman was rushed to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai after he experienced a sudden chest pain earlier today. As the report further suggests, the renowned music composer is undergoing angioplasty in the hospital and the doctors are closely monitoring is health.

However, there is no official confirmation regarding AR Rahman's health from his team or hospital. More details are awaited.

Last month, AR Rahman's estranged wife Saira Banu was also hospitalized due to a medical emergency and had undergone a surgery. Announcing the same, Saira Banu's lawyer Vandana Shah had shared an official statement on Instagram that read, "On behalf of our client, Mrs. Saira Rahman, Vandana Shah and Associates issue the following statement regarding her current health condition. A few days ago, Mrs. Saira Rahman was hospitalized due to a medical emergency and underwent surgery. During this challenging time, her sole focus is on a speedy recovery. (sic)"

"She deeply appreciates the concern and support from those around her and requests prayers for her well-being from her numerous well-wishers and supporters.
