Bhool Chuk Maaf Budget & Box Office Target: After much delay and controversy, Bhool Chuk Maaf has finally been released in theatres across India today (May 23). The Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer had initially created good buzz with its original release date set for May 9. However, unexpected geopolitical tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack led to a major shake-up in the release strategy.

Originally backed for a big-screen release by Maddock Films and multiplex chain PVR Inox, Bhool Chuk Maaf was suddenly pulled from its theatrical schedule and was planned for a direct release on Amazon Prime Video instead. This unexpected shift sparked legal trouble between the production house and the multiplex partner.

PVR Inox Limited, which had an agreement in place with the filmmakers, claimed the decision to skip the theatrical release violated the terms of their contract. The multiplex giant filed a lawsuit, alleging financial damages amounting to nearly Rs 60 crore due to the change in plans. The makers of Bhool Chuk Maaf, led by producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, were caught in a legal crossfire over the breach.

After several rounds of discussions, a resolution was finally reached. With all the drama behind it, Bhool Chuk Maaf is now screening in theatres nationwide. The film blends romance, comedy, and fantasy, and features Rajkummar Rao in a unique role involving a time loop twist. Wamiqa Gabbi plays his love interest, with veteran actors Seema Pahwa and Raghubir Yadav also in key roles.

Bhool Chuk Maaf is a quirky romantic comedy with a time-travel twist. The film stars Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan, a hopeless romantic who believes that getting a government job is the only way to win the approval of his girlfriend Titli's strict father. Titli is played by Wamiqa Gabbi. Things take a bizarre turn just when everything seems to be falling into place. As the couple prepares for their wedding, Ranjan suddenly finds himself stuck in a strange time loop. No matter what he does, he keeps waking up on the same day - the 29th, the day of his Haldi ceremony.

With each loop, Ranjan's frustration builds as he tries to break free from the cycle. As time stands still, he begins to wonder if he'll ever get to marry Titli - or if he's stuck living the same day forever. According to a Bollywood Shaadis report, the film has been made on a total budget of Rs 50 crore, including Rs 40 crore for production and Rs 10 crore for promotions and distribution.

BHOOL CHUK MAAF BOX OFFICE TARGET AND DAY 1 PREDICTION

Bhool Chuk Maaf is expected to open on a slow note at the box office, with first-day collections likely to be around Rs 3 to Rs 3.5 crore. If we keep its budget in mind, Raid 2 needs to earn around Rs 55-60 crore to be considered a successful venture at the box office.
