Saif Ali Khan Attack Highlights: Saif Out Of Danger; Mumbai Police Detains Three People

According to media reports, the accused in Saif Ali Khan's attack has been identified. It is reported that he had used a fire escape staircase to enter the actor's house and his picture has been going viral from the CCTV footage. "It appears to be a robbery attempt. We working to arrest the accused. Ten detection teams are working on the case. An offence has been registered in Bandra Police Station," Dixit Gedam, DCP Zone 9, Mumbai Police stated

As Mumbai Police is investigating the matter, Saif Ali Khan's househelp, who was also injured during the attack, has recorded the statement with the cops. In her statement, the househelp stated that Saif fought with the intruders after he heard her screaming. She also revealed that Saif had informed the cops by himself about the incident.

As Saif Ali Khan is recovering post surgery, several celebs were seen heading to Lilavati Hospital to meet the actor. These included names like Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Siddharth Anand, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor etc.

According to media reports as Saif Ali Khan was bleeding heavily, Ibrahim took him to the hospital which was nearly two kilometres from their residence in an auto-rickshaw as the car was yet not ready to leave.

Sonu Sood took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "Saddened to hear about the unfortunate attack on Saif Ali Khan. My thoughts and prayers are with him for a swift recovery and a full return to health. Stay strong, brother."

Saif Ali Khan's team has now issued a statement post the actor's surgery and confirmed that the Nawab of Pataudi is out of danger. The statement read as, "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr Niraj Uttamani, Dr Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time"

As Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing a treatment in Lilavati Hospital, Sara Ali Khan & Ibrahim Ali Khan were seen arriving at the hospital to meet the actor.

In a new update in the incident, a report in New18 suggested that the intruder stayed in Saif Ali Khan's residence for the entire night. There are speculations that a househelp had helped the intruder to enter the house. “We suspect the help must have allowed him entry and due to some reason a fight took place. She is being interrogated by the local police to get more details about the accused. Seven local police teams are working to track him down,” the officer was quote saying

As Saif Ali Khan is undergoing an injury, Kareena Kapoor Khan's team has issued a statement which states, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern”.

In a recent update, encounter specialist Daya Nayak was seen arriving at Saif Ali Khan's residence to investigate the burglary attack incident.

NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday expressed concern over the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan by an intruder at his home in Mumbai and termed the incident as "worrisome". Sule, who is a friend of Saif Ali Khan's wife Kareena Kapoor Khan's family, said the actor was hospitalised and was safe. The incident took place at around 2.30 am on Thursday at Saif Ali Kan's house in Mumbai's Bandra area, according to police.

The Lilavati Hospital issued an official statement on Saif Ali Khan's health after the actor was stabbed during a robbery at his residence. Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif was attacked by an unidentified person in his house. He was brought in at 3:30 am in Lilavati. He has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine. We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done."

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after an intruder attacked him with a knife at his residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday, officials said. Khan was hospitalised and required a surgery following the incident which took place at around 2.30 am at his house in Bandra area, they said. "There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery," the 54-year-old actor's public relations representative said in a statement.
