After Mika Singh, Guru Randhawa took an indirect jibe at Diljit Dosanjh over Pak actress Hania Aamir's casting in Sardaar Ji 3. Amid the ongoing Ind-Pak situation, the makers of the Punjabi horror-comedy entertainer skipped its theatrical release in India. For those unversed, Sardaar Ji 3 is releasing overseas today (Friday, June 27), including in Pakistan.
On Thursday (June 26), Guru Randhawa took to his Twitter (now 'X') handle and took a sly dig at Diljit Dosanjh. In his cryptic post, the actor-singer wrote, "Lakh pardesi hoyieee

While Guru didn't take any name in his post, netizens were convinced that he was taking a dig at Diljit. Soon after this, Guru Randhawa's Twitter post went viral on the internet, sparking an intense debate online while triggering major criticism from a part of the netizens. One of the netizens called him out and questioned his hypocrisy while pointing out how many times he mentioned 'Lahore' in his songs. Some of them even accused him of using Diljit Dosanjh's controversy for his own publicity.
The user wrote, "First try to sing a song without mentioning Lahore in it." Meanwhile, another person responded, "It seems like you are the one who is in desperate need to start a controversy for your PR cuz just few months ago you were promoting your movie Shahkot about Pakistan," while another user tweeted, "Grow up guru".
