Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar The Revenge) Lands In Legal Trouble Ahead Of Release
Starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and R Madhavan among others, Dhurandhar 2 is gearing up for its grand theatrical debut this Thursday (March 19). Adding to the excitement, the film is having a paid premiere tomorrow (March 18) across India.
From the trailer to the first song from the sequel album, Aari Aari, the excitement around Dhurandhar 2 is already through the roof. And now, right before its theatrical release, the makers have received a legal notice from the Sikh community, as they raised objections over Ranveer's Sikh character, Jaskirat Singh, smoking a cigarette in one of the posters, as per Firstpost.
Paramjit Singh Sarna, the President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Delhi State, had shared the said poster on Twitter (X) and alleged that the scenes hurt religious sentiments and portray the Sikh community in a negative light.
Dhuranndhar 2 Controversy: Is Ranveer Singh's Viral Sikh Poster Real Or Fake?
Turns out, the viral Sikh poster featuring Ranveer Singh is AI-generated. Reports suggest it is a fan-made edit and not an official promotional release from the makers of Dhurandhar The Revenge.
Interestingly, the design closely mirrors the aesthetic of the 'Ez-Ez' track by Raj Ranjodh, Hanumankind, Shashwat Sachdev and Diljit Dosanjh, hinting that the viral image is likely inspired artwork enhanced with additional effects. Additionally, Singh is reportedly doing a zombie-thriller with Jai Mehta titled 'Pralay'.
