Bollywood superstars Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar locked horns at the box office with their respective Eid releases this year. Both the films had an underwhelming theatrical run.

As per reports, Maidaan's budget was around Rs 350 crores, while BMCM was supposedly made on a budget of Rs 250 crores.

Produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios, Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn as the legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film also features Priyamani and Gajraj Rao among others in key roles.

Directed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is based on the illustrious life of the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, played by Ajay Devgn. The movie was released in cinemas on 11th April 2024.
