Sam Bahadur clashed with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal at the box office and held its ground after fetching favorable reviews. The biopic witnessed an increase in footfalls with each passing day and accumulated a domestic total of Rs 78.25 crore and a global collection exceeding Rs 105 crore.
