Wonka OTT Release Date In India: Directed by Paul King, Wonka was released last year in theatres amid a huge buzz and expectations. Featuring Timothée Chalamet in the titular character, the film narrates the backstory of Willy Wonka, a central character from Roald Dahl's 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, delving into his formative years as a chocolatier.

Wonka hit the theatres on December 8, 2023, and captured the hearts of both audiences and critics alike. Following its theatrical release, it also earned a nomination at the BAFTA Awards. Since then, a section of fans have been eagerly awaiting its digital premiere. Well, their wait is finally coming to an end this week.

The musical fantasy comedy film is set to premiere on OTT platforms tomorrow (May 3, 2024). Reports indicate that in India, it will be available for streaming on Jio Cinema and Amazon Prime Video. However, on Prime Video, it will only be accessible for rent at Rs 499. Meanwhile, fans in other countries can enjoy the film on Max.

Wonka was produced by Warner Bros., David Heyman, Luke Kelly, and Alexandra Derbyshire under the banners of Village Roadshow Pictures, Domain Entertainment, Heyday Films, and The Roald Dahl Story Company.

Chung Chung-hoon handled cinematography, while Mark Everson took charge of editing. With a budget of under $125 million, the film grossed an impressive $632.3 million at the box office.
