Deva Release Time: Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor made a highly anticipated comeback to the big screen this year with Deva, an action-packed thriller helmed by director Rosshan Andrrews. The film, which followed the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, created a strong pre-release buzz with its intriguing posters and teaser. However, its theatrical run did not meet expectations.

After hitting cinemas on January 31, Deva opened to a lukewarm response from both critics and audiences. While the film had a promising start, it struggled to maintain momentum, leading to a steep decline after its opening weekend. Despite being a high-octane cop drama, the film failed to strike a chord with moviegoers, ultimately falling short at the box office.

Reports suggest that Deva wrapped up its worldwide theatrical journey with a total collection of Rs 59 crore. In India, the film garnered Rs 42 crore (Rs 35 crore net), while its overseas earnings stood at Rs 17 crore. Unfortunately, these figures were insufficient to recover the production costs.

Featuring Shahid Kapoor in an intense police avatar, Deva revolves around a gripping investigation into a high-profile case. The film also stars Pavail Gulati, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait in pivotal roles. The 2-minute, 18-second trailer showcased Shahid's electrifying action sequences, culminating in a thought-provoking moment where a headline questions his character's approach: "Police or Mafia?"

Despite its underwhelming theatrical run, a segment of the audience remains curious about Deva's digital release. Many are eagerly awaiting its arrival on streaming platforms, hoping to experience the film from the comfort of their homes.

DEVA OTT RELEASE DATE, TIME & PLATFORM: WHEN & WHERE WILL FILM STREAM ONLINE?

As reported earlier, Netflix has acquired Deva's streaming rights. Earlier today (March 27), the OTT giant unveiled that the film will premiere on March 28. Most probably, Deva will start streaming either at midnight (12 am) or 12:30 pm. However, an official announcement regarding the same is still awaited.
