Review:
Whenever
we
used
to
watch
Guru
Randhawa
in
a
song,
we
always
felt
that
he
is
a
good-looking
guy
and
has
the
charm
of
a
hero.
So,
when
he
decided
to
make
his
acting
debut
with
the
movie
Kuch
Khattaa
Ho
Jaay,
we
all
were
quite
excited
to
watch
him
on
the
big
screens.
So,
is
this
film
a
perfect
debut
for
Guru?
Well,
the
answer
is
a
BIG
NO!
Kuch
Khattaa
Ho
Jaay
is
about
Heer
(Guru
Randhawa)
who
is
from
a
rich
family
in
Agra.
He
has
a
family
business
of
sweets
(mithaai),
and
his
only
aim
in
life
is
to
love
Ira
(Saiee
Manjrekar).
Ira
wants
to
clear
IAS
exams
and
serve
the
nation,
but
due
to
some
situation
Heer
and
Ira
get
married.
Soon,
the
pressure
of
having
a
baby
starts
and
the
couple
lies
to
the
family
that
Ira
is
pregnant.
Now,
what
happens
further
forms
the
rest
of
the
story...
G
Ashok,
who
is
known
for
making
Telugu
film
Bhaagamathie
and
its
Hindi
remake
Durgamati,
has
directed
KKHJ,
and
it
is
hard
to
believe
how
this
man
has
made
such
a
bad
film.
Kuch
Khattaa
Ho
Jaay
is
just
a
khichdi
which
is
not
even
tasty.
There
are
too
many
things
happening
in
the
first
half
of
the
movie
and
there's
no
logic
in
it
at
all.
Even
if
we
forget
the
logic
and
watch
it
as
a
no-brainer
comedy,
still
it
at
least
needs
to
make
us
laugh
but
that
doesn't
happen.
The
narrative
in
the
first
half
runs
so
fast
that
when
it
nears
the
interval,
you
feel
maybe
the
movie
is
coming
to
an
end.
In
the
second
half,
the
emotional
scenes
come
in
and
they
are
so
funny
that
you
will
laugh
during
those
scenes.
Yes,
you
read
it
right!
The
dialogues
and
the
situation
in
emotional
scenes
are
so
bad
that
they
will
give
you
that
cringe
laughter.
Also,
not
to
forget,
we
are
in
2024,
and
still
we
have
homophobic
jokes
in
the
movie.
Like
a
character
says,
'Andar
Meetha
Hai'.
The
dubbing
and
the
editing
in
the
movie
is
just
pathetic.
There
are
cuts
as
if
some
college
student
has
edited
it
or
maybe
even
they
can
edit
in
a
better
way.

Actors'
Performances
Performance
wise,
Anupam
Kher
and
Ila
Arun
steal
the
show.
Kher
does
get
some
good
scenes
to
perform
and
he
is
good
in
them,
and
Arun
will
surely
make
you
laugh
out
loud
in
some
scenes.
Guru
Randhawa
has
a
very
good
screen
presence
and
he
clearly
deserved
a
better
debut.
Saiee
Manjrekar
has
shown
a
great
improvement,
she
just
needs
to
work
a
bit
more
on
her
dialogue
delivery
and
she
will
touch
the
sky.
Other
actors
like
Paresh
Ganatra,
Paritosh
Tripathi,
and
Atul
Srivastava
are
wasted.
It
really
hurts
to
see
how
badly
South
veteran
comedian
Brahmanandam
has
been
wasted
in
his
cameo
and
given
a
lame
role.
The
music
of
the
film
is
good.
But,
again
if
we
put
a
bit
of
logic
here,
the
movie
is
set
in
Agra
(UP)
but
all
the
songs
are
Punjabi
tracks.
Overall,
Kuch
Khattaa
Ho
Jaay
is
a
movie
that
you
surely
need
to
skip.
Even
once
it
comes
on
OTT,
you
can
skip
it.
Why
waste
time?
In
fact,
Filmibeat
did
an
interview
with
Guru
and
Saiee,
and
that's
more
entertaining
than
this
movie,
you
can
watch
that
below...
