Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal Wedding Update: Indian women's cricket champ Smriti Mandhana and composer-singer Palash Muchhal were all set to tie the knot yesterday (Sunday, November 24). But their much-anticipated wedding got postponed after the Indian cricketer's father Shriniwas Mandhana's health deteriorated and he was admitted to a hospital on the very day of their wedding ceremony. And now, we hear that another unfortunate incident has struck their family.

Just as the wedding bells were about to ring in the Mandhana and Muchhal households, the celebrations were disrupted by an unfortunate turn of events. Smriti Mandhana and her longtime bf Palash Muchhal, who made their relationship public last year, were all set to exchange wedding vows on Sunday.

But fate had some other plans. Smriti and Palash's wedding ceremony got postponed indefinitely when the bride's father was hospitalized after he fell ill. As reported by TOI, Smriti's father had "reported symptoms of angina pectoris, a form of chest pain associated with coronary heart disease."

According to NDTV, Smriti's fiancé Palash was briefly taken to a private hospital over his health conditions. Reportedly, he was already suffering from a viral infection and acidity. He was briefly admitted to the hospital when his condition worsened.

As per reports, his condition was apparently not that serious and he was discharged shortly after the treatment. He came back to the hospital on the same evening.

Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's wedding was scheduled for Sunday in Sangli. However, Smriti's manager told PTI that she wants her father to recover fully before moving ahead with the ceremony. As of now, a new wedding date has not been announced.
