A Dog's Way Home Story

A Dog's Way Home is a family adventure helmed by director Charles Martin Smith. Based on a book of the same name by Cameron, this movie features Ashley Judd, Edward James Olmos and Alexandra Shipp in prominent roles. Released by Sony Pictures on January 11, 2019, this film garnered mixed reviews.

This film portrays the close bond Lucas shares with Bella, a puppy he found on a construction site along with some kittens. As Lucas brought Bella home on that day, he keeps feeding kittens on the same construction site. This irks Gunter Beckenbauer who wants to demolish the house.
With the demolition in delay due to the cats, Gunter arranges for Bella to be declared a Pit Bull and thus avenge Lucas. As Pit Bulls are outlawed in Denver, Lucas sends his Bella to live with his aunt and uncle in Farmington. But Bella misses Lucas so much that it leaves Farmington and begins a journey towards Denver to reunite with Lucas. With 400 miles to walk, Bella sets up an adventure journey. How long Bella takes to reach Denver and how he makes it forms the crux of the movie.
