Set between the events of "Alien" (1979) and "Aliens" (1986), it is directed by Fede Álvarez, who co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues. The film is produced by Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions. The cast includes Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.
The movie is set to hit theaters on August 16, 2024, distributed by 20th Century Studios.
