Downton Abbey is a theatrical adoption of popular British series of the same name. Writer and Creator of TV series Julian Fellowes bankrolled the film while Michael Engler directed it. The film released on 13 September 2019 in the UK and a week later in the US and garnered highly positive reviews.
The Film plot set in 1927 depicts the visit by the King and Queen to the Downton Abbey. While Downton's family and staff thrilled over the royal entourage to their home, an assassin also arrives in the scene planning to kill the monarch.
