The Curse of the Weeping Woman Story

The Curse Of La Llorona releasing in India as The Curse Of The Weeping Woman is an American horror film helmed by director Michael Chaves.  This film plot is based on the Mexican folklore La Llorona and it's the sixth installment in the Conjuring Universe. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, this film stars Linda Cardellini, Raymond Cruz,  Patricia Velasquez in prominent roles.

The film plot starts in 1673, where the youngest son gives his mother a necklace and when he briefly closes his eyes, his family is missing.  And he sees his mother drowning his brother in the stream and when he tries to run, she catches him and drowns him too. The film then opens in 1973, 300 years later, where a caseworker inquires about the disappearance of his client Patrica's two children.  How these two incidents which happened in a distinct time period are related to each other forms the crux of the story.
